13-15's UPDATE:

2008 PARENT MEETING is scheduled for Monday May 5, 7:30 - 8:30P, Auditorium,
De Pere High School. Time will be set aside following the large group session to meet with your coach if they choose.  A parent from each player family must attend.

Your player should be receiving a call from your coach. Be ready to tell your coach how you would like to apply your 4 volunteer hours. All families will be expected to staff concessions for games and weekend tournaments.

Congratulations to ERIK OLSON of the De Pere River Bandits who was named Pitcher of the Year in the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League.

Congratulations to JEFF RIDDLE of the De Pere River Bandits who was named Rookie of the Year in the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League, finishing second in the balloting for Player of the Year.

New! DADS players can participate in sanctioned Little League activities! More information about tournament play will be distributed by the youth coaches.

Congratulations to De Pere 13-15's Baseball Post Season qualifiers:

14/15's:  De Pere Cardinal and De Pere Green.  Both were eliminated in the semi-finals of Bay Area Babe Ruth competition

13's:  De Pere Black, NEW Pony League Champions.  They defeated Bayport White 10-5 at Bayport Wednesday night for the title.  Congratulations to coach Ron Van Handel and all of his coach helpers, players, and families.

Brunette, Faulds, Kopitzke, Olson, Riddle, Stauber, and Yost play with the DE PERE RIVER BANDITS OF THE NORTHEASTERN WISCONSIN BASEBALL LEAGUE: a college showcase league comprised of teams with home locations in Green Bay, De Pere, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Menasha, and Appleton. Home games are played at Redbird Field.

CONGRATULATIONS TO REDBIRD COACH DENNIS RIDDLE FOR HIS 300th Varsity win. Coach Riddle joins the elite group of only 15 other active Wisconsin coaches upon reaching the milestone. Riddle has been the Varsity coach at De Pere since 1987.

TRAVEL TEAMS:
DADS and/or the school Baseball Booster Clubs are offering to sponsor travel teams in 2007 for ALL age groups beginning at age 5. The Boosters are willing to support a travel team from each school for the 13, 14 & 15 year old age group level. Please contact DADS, your School Booster Club, or your high school coach, if you would like to organize one of these summer travel teams.

REDBIRD BOOSTERS:
Redbird Booster Club meets the third Wednesday of every month. Go to www.depere.l2.wi.us to view Booster Club activities, access teamwear order forms, and learn about programming and how to volunteer.

Taxpayers in De Pere and area townships should know that additional fields and/or lighted diamond are needed to accommodate the constantly increasing number of participants we have in youth baseball in De Pere. The need is greatest in the 5 - 13 age group. Please contact your school and civic officials to express your support for the improvement or development of safe, lit youth fields.
